Marks Operating LLC of Metairie, Louisiana, announces a significant oil find in the Coquille Bay Field in state water with the drilling of the R.F. Price, Jr. ET AL #B-1 well to a total depth of 11695' with perforations of 11352-11362'. The well's initial flow rate while cleaning up the well was 528 barrels of oil per day with 2,200 MCF per day on a 12/64" with a flowing tubing pressure of 4356#. In addition to the initial completion, there were several other productive pay sands discovered in the well. Marks Operating plans to drill offset locations to the find later in the year. Partners in the well include KTM Energy, Marks Explorer and Saxheim LLC.
